Djordje Djokovic was reportedly forced to leave his home in Dubai due to an Iranian drone strike over the weekend. The 30-year-old lives in an apartment with his wife Saska and their young son Aleksandar.
The youngest sibling of tennis legend Novak Djokovic, Djordje chose to vacate his Dubai flat following an explosion in the city centre. Israel and the USA initiated an attack on Tehran on Saturday, prompting Iranian forces to retaliate.
Several countries, including the United Arab Emirates, were subsequently targeted by Iranian strikes and the conflict continues to escalate. Djordje, also known for his work in the business side of tennis, is based in Dubai and decided to leave home with his wife.
Serbian publication Telegraf reported on Saturday that Djordje and his wife Saska had fled their Dubai residence, which is situated near the Burj Khalifa. The family are said to be safe but understandably anxious about the escalating conflict.
