GLASGOW M8 TRAVEL CHAOS AS POLICE RUSH TO ROAD TRAFFIC INCIDENT
Drivers are being warned of delays on the M8 as police respond to a road traffic incident near Glasgow Airport.
Traffic Scotland reports that the eastbound section between junctions 28 and 27 is restricted due to an incident reported at around 8:20 am. Lanes one and two are currently closed, causing rush-hour chaos.
Emergency services are understood to be at the scene. It is not known if there are any casualties at this time.

Drivers are being warned to expect delays of 32 minutes on the M8 and 22 minutes on the A737, with traffic expected to build. In a recent update, a spokesperson for Traffic Scotland said: "The M8 is restricted eastbound between jcts 28-27 due to a road traffic incident.
"Lanes 1 and 2 are currently closed. Traffic queueing - Delays are approx. 32 mins on the #M8 & 22 mins on the #A737. Updates to follow".
